Day 1: Arusha to Mount Kilimanjaro Day Hike
Your adventure begins with a transfer from Arusha to the base of Mount Kilimanjaro at Marangu Gate. After registration, you will start a guided hike through lush rainforest filled with birds, monkeys, and dense vegetation.
The trail is gentle and provides a great introduction to Kilimanjaro’s environment. A visit to Maundi Crater offers scenic views across northern Tanzania and Kenya, adding a rewarding highlight to the trek.
After reaching Mandara Hut, descend back to the gate and return to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Upon arrival, begin your game drive through diverse landscapes.
The Tarangire River attracts wildlife throughout the year, providing excellent opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species. The park’s scenery and wildlife density make it a strong start to your safari.
After your game drive, transfer to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
Travel from Karatu towards Serengeti National Park, passing through scenic highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey itself offers changing landscapes and beautiful views.
Upon entering the Serengeti, begin your game drive across its vast plains. The park is known for its abundant wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of grazers.
Arrive at your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Full Day Serengeti Exploration
Spend the day exploring Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Early morning offers the best chance to witness predators in action and observe wildlife at its most active.
The vast plains provide opportunities to see the Great Migration (seasonal), as well as a wide range of animals across different habitats. Each game drive reveals new wildlife encounters and landscapes.
Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
After breakfast, depart Serengeti and head to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater floor for a full-day game drive in one of Africa’s most unique ecosystems.
The crater is home to a high concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five and a variety of bird species. Its enclosed environment allows excellent chances of spotting animals in a short time.
After the game drive, ascend and continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
On the final day, visit Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions, large baboon troops, and diverse birdlife. The park offers a mix of forest, lake, and open plains.
Enjoy a game drive while spotting elephants, hippos, and various bird species along the lake. The scenery provides a relaxing and scenic conclusion to your safari.
Later, return to Arusha, marking the end of your journey.
