Day 1: Arrival – Maun International Airport to Hotel
Upon arrival at Maun Airport, you will be greeted by a guide holding a welcome sign for your Tanzania adventure safari tours and camping packages. You’ll be transferred to your accommodation in Maun for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Maun to Lekhubu (Kubu) Island
After breakfast, depart Maun for the mystical Lekhubu Island, a granite rock outcrop in the vast Makgadikgadi salt pans, surrounded by ancient baobab trees and timeless landscapes. Stop at Rakops Village en route for a packed lunch and leg stretch.
Upon arrival at Lekhubu, enjoy:
- A relaxing siesta
- An afternoon game drive to explore this surreal and ancient island
- Sunset photography with baobabs as your backdrop
Evening shower, dinner, and optional fireside stories before retiring to your tent.Accommodation: Camping
Day 3: Lekhubu Island to Rakops Cultural Village
Begin Tanzania adventure safari tours and camping packages day with a warm shower and breakfast, then drive to Rakops Village, located near the Boteti River. This is a culturally rich destination home to tribes like the Bateti, Basarwa, Bakalaka, Bayei, and Basubia.
Highlights include:
- Lunch and siesta at Matsaudi campsite
- An afternoon cultural village tour
- Evening tribal dance performance by the Bateti and Basarwa, showcasing traditional music, costumes, and rituals under the stars

Day 4: Rakops to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park
After breakfast, drive into the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, entering through the main gate and game-driving your way to the campsite.
Expect to see:
- Zebra migration (in season)
- Elephants, lions, jackals, antelope, meerkats
- Unique dry salt pan ecosystems and open savannas
Enjoy lunch, siesta, followed by afternoon game drive, and return for a warm shower and dinner around the fire.Accommodation: Camping
Day 5: Makgadikgadi to Nxai Pan National Park
After a short morning drive of your Tanzania adventure safari tours and camping packages through Makgadikgadi, exit the park and head north to Nxai Pan National Park—home to unique desert wildlife and the iconic Baines Baobabs.
Activities include:
- Game viewing en route to camp
- Afternoon game drive to Baines Baobabs and the pans
- Spotting elephants, wildebeest, giraffe, lions, and seasonal birdlife
Return to camp after sunset, enjoy a refreshing shower and dinner.Accommodation: Camping
Day 6: Nxai Pan to Maun – Departure
Enjoy a quick shower and early breakfast before a final game drive through Nxai Pan on your return to Maun. You’ll be transferred to Maun Airport for your Tanzania adventure safari tours and camping packages onward travel.
