Rise early for a morning game drive as the wildlife is most active during the cooler hours of the morning. This is a great time to spot predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas in action, as well as herds of elephants and buffalo grazing peacefully in the savanna. Afterward, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, followed by some time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. In the afternoon, you can head out for another game drive to explore different areas of the Mara. Alternatively, you may choose to visit a nearby Maasai village for a cultural experience. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the Maasai people, learn about their customs and way of life, and perhaps even take part in a traditional dance. After a day full of adventure, head back to your lodge for dinner and unwind for the night.

The journey will take you around 5-6 hours, and you’ll travel through scenic landscapes, from the open plains of the Mara to the foothills of the Aberdare Mountains. Upon arrival at Kicheche Camp or your chosen accommodation, you’ll be greeted with a refreshing welcome drink before checking in. Take a moment to unwind, and then set off on your first game drive in Ol Pejeta. Known for its groundbreaking conservation efforts, the conservancy is home to the northern white rhino, one of the most endangered species in the world, along with a variety of other wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, and the elusive leopard. Return to your camp in the evening for a delicious dinner and spend the night under the African sky.
