Day 1: Arrival in Maun & Transfer to Dinaka
Youโll arrive in Maun, Botswana, where a representative will meet you and assist you with a light aircraft transfer to Dinaka Camp. Located on a private reserve along the northern edge of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Dinaka is home to unique desert wildlife such as Kalahari lions, springbok, oryx, and brown hyenas. Youโll settle in and begin your 3-night stay at Dinaka, which includes all meals, drinks, and safari activities.
Day 2-3: Safari Adventures in the Central Kalahari
Spend two full days exploring the stunning landscapes of the Central Kalahari. Morning and afternoon game drives allow you to spot giraffes, antelope, cheetahs, leopards, and even smaller creatures like honey badgers and porcupines. Optional guided bush walks provide a more intimate look at the terrain, while bird watchers can enjoy sightings of over 200 bird species. All activities, meals, and drinks are included during your stay at Dinaka.
Day 4: Transfer to Kanana in the Okavango Delta
After a final game drive (time permitting), youโll board a light aircraft for your flight from Dinaka to Kanana Camp, located on the Xudum River in the southwest Okavango Delta. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy lunch and begin your first game activity at Kanana. This private concession offers both land and water-based safari experiences thanks to the seasonal floods.
Day 4: Transfer to Kanana in the Okavango Delta
After a final game drive (time permitting), youโll board a light aircraft for your flight from Dinaka to Kanana Camp, located on the Xudum River in the southwest Okavango Delta. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy lunch and begin your first game activity at Kanana. Day 5-6: Exploring the Okavango Delta
Enjoy two full days of exploring the Okavango Delta. Activities include day and night game drives, guided bush walks, mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions, andโdepending on water levelsโmotorboat rides. Kanana also gives you access to one of the largest heronries in the Delta, making it ideal for birding. If you prefer, you can simply relax by the campโs pool and soak in the scenery. All meals, drinks, and activities are included during your stay.
Day 7: Return to Maun
You may have time for one final safari activity at Kanana before catching your light aircraft transfer back to Maun for your onward journey.
