Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Upon arrival in Nairobi, your guide will meet you and brief you on the safari. From there, you’ll drive about 5 hours to Samburu National Reserve. After checking in and enjoying lunch at Samburu Simba Lodge, head out for your first game drive in the afternoon. You’ll have a chance to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and other wildlife native to this arid region. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day in Samburu
After breakfast, spend the day on a full-day guided game drive with a packed lunch. Samburu is famous for the Samburu Special Five: Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx. The reserve also has large elephant herds and predators like lions and leopards. Return to Samburu Simba Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Samburu to Aberdare National Park
After breakfast, check out and drive to Aberdare National Park. Check in and have lunch at The Ark Lodge, a unique lodge built next to a waterhole and salt lick where animals often come to drink. Later in the afternoon, go on a game drive through the park’s lush forests and moorlands. You may see elephants, buffaloes, colobus monkeys, and more. Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Aberdare to Lake Nakuru National ParkDay 4: Aberdare to Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart Aberdare after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, check in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, have lunch, and enjoy a late afternoon game drive. The park is known for its flamingos, black and white rhinos, lions, giraffes, and leopards. Enjoy the stunning views around the lake and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, leave Nakuru and drive about 5 hours to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Check in at Enkorok Mara Camp and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, go on a guided game drive where you may spot the Big Five, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species. Return for dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara
Today you’ll go on a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. Your expert guide will help track down wildlife across the expansive plains. You’ll look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos, and cheetahs. There will be stops for wildlife photography and a scenic picnic lunch in the bush. In the evening, return to Enkorok Mara Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Masai Mara to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi with a lunch stop en route. On arrival, enjoy a short city sightseeing tour and shop for souvenirs. You’ll then be transferred to the international airport for your flight home.
