Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu
You’ll be picked up early from your Nairobi hotel or the airport and travel north via the Central Highlands. A brief stop at the Equator line and views of Mount Kenya will highlight your journey. You’ll arrive in Samburu in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the semi-arid landscape, home to rare animals like the Grevy’s zebra and gerenuk. Overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp.
Day 2: Full Day in Samburu
Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives along the Ewaso Nyiro River. This area is known for its rich wildlife, including the Samburu “Special Five” and the Big Five. All meals and overnight stay at Ashnil Samburu Camp.
Day 3: Samburu to Aberdare National Park
After breakfast, travel to the Aberdares. Check in at Aberdare Country Club, then transfer to The Ark, a tree lodge overlooking a floodlit waterhole where wildlife visits throughout the night. Enjoy game viewing from the lodge decks and overnight at The Ark.
Day 4: Aberdare to Lake Nakuru
Depart after breakfast and travel to Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch, take an afternoon game drive. The park is known for its birdlife, rhinos, and past flamingo populations. Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
Drive to Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier game reserve, home to abundant wildlife and rolling savannahs. Arrive in time for lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive. Overnight at Alama Camp Mara.
Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara
Enjoy a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara, with a picnic lunch by the Mara River. You’ll likely encounter the Big Five and witness the stunning variety of animals and birds. Overnight again at Alama Camp Mara.
Day 7: Masai Mara to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out and return to Nairobi. Drop-off will be at your hotel or the airport in the afternoon. This marks the end of your memorable safari adventure.
