Day 1: Welcome to the Wild
Arrive in Maun and transfer to Thamo Telele, a peaceful lodge tucked along the Thamalakane River. Set on a private 250-hectare reserve, the area is rich in plains game and birdlife. After settling in, you can choose an afternoon activity such as a nature walk, guided horseback ride, or a close-up giraffe experience. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars as your safari officially begins.
Day 2: Journey to the Kalahari
After breakfast, fly by light aircraft to Camp Kalahari in the heart of the Makgadikgadi salt pans. In the afternoon, explore the magical desert landscape—perhaps with a visit to the adorable meerkats, a walk on the edge of the pans, or a relaxing sunset drink overlooking the horizon. Return to camp for dinner and a quiet night under the stars.
Day 3: Meerkats, Bushmen & Desert Magic
Start your day early with a remarkable close-up encounter with meerkats as they rise to greet the sun. Later, walk with San Bushmen to learn about their ancient survival skills, stories, and tracking methods. In the afternoon, enjoy a quad bike adventure across the pans (seasonal), a horseback safari (optional extra), or a game drive. End the day with drinks around the fire and another hearty dinner.
Day 4: Fly to Khwai
After breakfast, fly to the Khwai Private Reserve, with a scenic aerial view along the way. On arrival at Elephant Pan Camp, tucked among mopane trees near a busy waterhole, settle into your luxury tent. Enjoy your first game drive in Khwai, a region famous for its elephant herds and predator sightings, then return to camp for a fireside dinner.
Day 5: Khwai Safari Adventure
Begin with a morning game drive, searching for elephants, lions, leopards, and rich birdlife. After lunch and a restful siesta—perhaps spent watching wildlife from your deck—head out again for an afternoon game drive or bush walk. Enjoy a relaxed evening back at camp with storytelling and dinner around the fire.
Day 6: Fly to the Okavango Delta
Today, take a helicopter flight to the Greater Okavango Delta, enjoying spectacular aerial views. Arrive at Little Sable, a stylish camp with stunning floodplain views. Settle in and then embark on a Delta safari experience—which may include a game drive, boat cruise, or mokoro ride, depending on the water levels. Return to camp for a memorable starlit dinner.
Day 7: Classic Delta Exploration
Spend your final full day exploring the Okavango Delta. Mornings are ideal for game drives tracking predators like lion or wild dog, while afternoons offer a slower pace with a mokoro trip or boat safari. Enjoy lunch at camp and take in the stillness of the Delta from your deck. End your day with a sundowner and your last dinner in the wild.
Day 8: Scenic Farewell
After breakfast or a final early activity, take your shared flight back to Maun. Soar above the Delta one last time, reflecting on the unforgettable adventure you’ve just experienced across Botswana’s most diverse landscapes.
