Details Itinerary

You’ll be welcomed at Chileka International Airport (BLZ) in Blantyre by a friendly representative who will transfer you to your hotel. You’ll stay at Leslie Lodge, a cozy guesthouse perfect for unwinding after your flight. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the area or simply relaxing.

After breakfast, travel to Liwonde National Park, one of Malawi’s top wildlife destinations. Stay at Mvuu Camp, located on the Shire River. Over the next two days, enjoy exciting game drives and river safaris in search of elephants, hippos, crocodiles, antelope, and birdlife. Enjoy the peaceful setting of the river while soaking in nature.

Today you’ll journey east to Club Makokola (The Makokola Retreat), located on the stunning shores of Lake Malawi. Spend your day swimming, sunbathing, or trying out optional activities like snorkeling or kayaking. Wind down with a magical lakeside sunset.

After breakfast by the lake, you’ll be transferred to Lilongwe International Airport (LLW) to catch your flight to Mfuwe, Zambia (usually via Lusaka). Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to Chikunto Safari Lodge, located near the South Luangwa National Park. Settle into your luxury lodge and prepare for an authentic safari experience.

Enjoy two full days in the heart of South Luangwa National Park, known for its high density of wildlife and famous walking safaris. At Chikunto Safari Lodge, you’ll head out on morning and evening game drives with expert guides, seeking out lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, and more. You may also enjoy night drives to see nocturnal creatures like civets and owls.

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Mfuwe Airport for your departure. If time allows, you may enjoy one last game drive or relax at the lodge before flying out.
