Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Begin your trek with a drive to Machame Gate, followed by registration and entry into the park. The trail starts through dense rainforest, offering a cool and shaded environment with rich vegetation.
The path gradually ascends along a winding ridge, where conditions can be muddy and require steady footing. As you gain elevation, the forest begins to thin, revealing glimpses of the mountain.

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Continue your climb as you leave the rainforest and enter the moorland zone. The trail becomes steeper, crossing valleys and ridges while offering expansive views of the surrounding landscape.
The route leads onto the Shira Plateau, one of the most scenic sections of the trek. From here, you can enjoy clear views of Kibo Peak and the open terrain.

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

The terrain is rocky and exposed, emphasizing the high-altitude environment. Upon arrival, you will rest, prepare your gear, and receive a briefing for the summit push.

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
The summit attempt begins around midnight, with a steady ascent through steep scree under the stars. This is the most physically and mentally demanding part of the journey.
Reach Stella Point at the crater rim before continuing to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Standing at the summit is a remarkable achievement and the highlight of the entire trek.
After celebrating, descend to Barafu Camp briefly, then continue down to Mweka Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
On the final day, descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. The trail becomes greener and more humid, providing a refreshing contrast to the higher elevations.
Upon arrival, you will receive your summit certificate, marking the successful completion of your climb. This moment reflects the effort and determination invested throughout the journey.
