Over the course of 8 days, you will explore four of the most iconic destinations in East Africa: Tsavo East, Tsavo West, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, and the Masai Mara National Reserve.

Your journey begins in Nairobi, where the modern energy of the city quickly fades into the wild beauty of Kenya’s national parks. Expect to spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—as well as cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, zebras, and countless bird species. The highlight comes in the Masai Mara, where, from July to October, the Great Wildebeest Migration unfolds—an epic natural spectacle considered the “Seventh Wonder of the Natural World.”

Designed for nature lovers, photographers, families, and honeymooners alike, this Kenya Safari Package is the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and discovery.

Details Itinerary

Your Kenya Safari Package adventure begins in Nairobi. After a warm welcome from your guide at the airport or your hotel, you’ll depart on a five-hour scenic drive toward Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s oldest and largest park. Along the way, the landscape transforms from bustling highways into wide-open savannahs dotted with acacia trees.

By midday, arrive at Ashnil Aruba Lodge, located near the Aruba Dam, a favorite watering hole for wildlife. After lunch and some time to refresh, head out for your first game drive in Tsavo East. The park is famous for its red elephants, whose skin takes on a reddish hue from rolling in the park’s iron-rich soil. In addition, you’ll encounter herds of buffalo, giraffes stretching their long necks to feed, and predators like lions lurking in the tall grass.

As the sun sets in a fiery glow across the horizon, return to the lodge for dinner. Fall asleep to the sounds of the wilderness under a starry African sky.

Accommodation: Ashnil Aruba Lodge

After a hearty breakfast, journey deeper into the Kenyan wilderness as you transfer to Tsavo West National Park, home to dramatic volcanic landscapes and diverse wildlife. The highlight here is the Shetani Lava Flow, a vast black expanse of solidified lava formed centuries ago, which local communities describe in folklore as the “devil’s flow.”

You’ll also visit Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters bubble up from underground streams fed by Mount Kilimanjaro’s glaciers. A unique glass-bottom viewing chamber allows you to spot hippos, crocodiles, and schools of colorful fish beneath the water’s surface.

In the afternoon, embark on another game drive where you may spot elusive leopards resting in trees, black rhinos in secure sanctuaries, or cheetahs roaming the plains. By evening, arrive at the iconic Salt Lick Lodge, elevated on stilts and overlooking a busy watering hole where elephants, buffalo, and antelope come to drink.

Enjoy dinner with spectacular wildlife views before retiring to your room.

Accommodation: Salt Lick Lodge

After breakfast, depart for the legendary Amboseli National Park, a five-hour drive that takes you through rustic villages and open countryside. Upon arrival at Kibo Safari Camp, enjoy refreshments and check in.

In the afternoon, set out on a game drive in Amboseli, a park renowned for its iconic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa. Here, the highlight is the park’s giant elephant herds, often photographed with the snow-capped peak in the background. In addition to elephants, you’ll spot zebras, wildebeest, and predators like lions and cheetahs.

As dusk sets in, return to camp for dinner and overnight, soaking in the magic of Kilimanjaro towering above the plains.

Accommodation: Kibo Safari Camp

Wake early for a sunrise game drive, when Amboseli is bathed in golden light and wildlife is most active. With luck, you’ll spot the Big Five and other species such as ostriches, jackals, and giraffes.

After lunch at camp, spend the afternoon exploring Amboseli further. Visit observation points like Normatior Hill, which provide sweeping views across the swampy wetlands where elephants wade, hippos bathe, and a variety of bird species thrive.

Return to camp for dinner and overnight. Around the campfire, enjoy traditional African storytelling and the sounds of the bush before retiring to your tent.

Accommodation: Kibo Safari Camp

After breakfast, begin the journey toward the Great Rift Valley with a five-hour drive to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake surrounded by lush greenery. Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge, enjoy refreshments and check in.

In the afternoon, explore one of Naivasha’s famous attractions. Choose between:

  • A boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where hippos wallow in the water and fish eagles swoop down to catch their prey.
  • A guided walking safari on Crescent Island, home to giraffes, zebras, and antelopes that roam freely.
  • A cycling adventure in Hell’s Gate National Park, where dramatic cliffs and geothermal features set the scene.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge, surrounded by the sounds of the lake’s birdlife.

Accommodation: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge

After breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, a six-hour drive that passes through rolling hills and rural landscapes. Upon arrival at Zebra River Camp, check in, enjoy lunch, and relax before heading out for an evening game drive.

The Masai Mara is one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations, offering unrivaled opportunities to witness wildlife. From July to October, it hosts the Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of animals cross the plains and rivers in search of greener pastures. Lions, hyenas, and crocodiles lie in wait, creating one of nature’s most dramatic spectacles.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight, with Maasai cultural dances adding to the authentic experience.

Accommodation: Zebra River Camp

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the wonders of the Masai Mara. Start with an early morning game drive, when predators such as lions and leopards are most active.

Optional: For a truly unforgettable experience, you can take a hot air balloon safari at sunrise, drifting silently above the plains as herds of wildebeest and elephants roam below. After landing, enjoy a champagne breakfast in the bush.

Return to camp for lunch, then set out again in the afternoon for more wildlife encounters. The Mara’s diversity ensures no two game drives are alike—you may spot cheetahs sprinting across the plains, vultures circling above a kill, or elephants splashing in rivers.

In the evening, return for dinner, storytelling, and Maasai cultural performances around a campfire.

Accommodation: Zebra River Camp

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a final game drive as you exit the Masai Mara. The return journey to Nairobi is filled with scenic views of rolling hills and the Rift Valley escarpments.

Arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon. Depending on your plans, you may be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
