Day 1: Wildlife and Conservation Experience
You will be picked up early at 6:00 AM from your hotel or the airport to begin your adventure at Nairobi National Park. Enjoy a 3-hour game drive through this iconic park as the sun rises—an ideal time to see lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and more. With the city skyline in the background, this park offers one of the most unique wildlife viewing experiences in the world.
After the game drive, head to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, which is open daily from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Here, you’ll learn how orphaned elephants are rescued, rehabilitated, and reintroduced into the wild. You’ll even get to hear the individual stories and names of each baby elephant in care.
Following this touching experience, enjoy a lunch break (own expense) at a nearby restaurant.
Next, proceed to the Giraffe Center, where you’ll get the chance to interact with endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. Feed them from an elevated platform, learn about their unique traits and conservation efforts, and enjoy an up-close view of these gentle giants.
The tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel, marking the end of an enriching and memorable day.
