Day 1
Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Your Amboseli Safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. After meeting your professional safari guide, you will have a short briefing before starting your drive south toward Amboseli National Park. Along the way, enjoy views of the Kenyan countryside, local villages, small towns, open grasslands, and distant mountain landscapes. The journey gives you a chance to see everyday life outside Nairobi before reaching the famous Amboseli region.
You will arrive at your lodge or camp around lunchtime, where you can check in, enjoy lunch, and have some time to relax. In the afternoon, you will set out for your first game drive inside Amboseli National Park. The park is famous for its large elephant herds and beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro. During the drive, you may see elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, and many birds. Your guide will explain the animals and the different habitats you see. As the sun begins to set, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 2
Full-Day Wildlife Experience in Amboseli National Park
After an early breakfast, you will leave the lodge with a packed picnic lunch for a full day of wildlife viewing in Amboseli National Park. This is the main day of your Amboseli Safari, giving you plenty of time to explore different parts of the park and enjoy its beautiful landscapes. Amboseli has wide open plains, green swamps, seasonal wetlands, and areas that receive underground water from Mount Kilimanjaro. These water sources attract many animals, making the park an excellent place for game viewing.
During the day, you will search for large elephant herds, which are one of Amboseli’s biggest attractions. You may also see buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, gazelles, lions, hyenas, and other wildlife. You will have an opportunity to visit Observation Hill, one of the best places to enjoy wide views across the park. From the top, you can see the plains, wetlands, wildlife areas, and, when the weather is clear, Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. You will stop at a suitable picnic area for lunch before continuing your game drive in the afternoon. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and another comfortable overnight stay, completing another memorable day of your Amboseli Safari.
