Details Itinerary

Your Africa Safari Package adventure begins in Nairobi, Kenya’s bustling capital. After breakfast at your hotel or upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be met by your professional safari guide who will brief you on the journey ahead. You’ll then depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, driving through the Great Rift Valley, a geological wonder stretching from the Middle East to Mozambique.

En route, stop at a viewpoint for sweeping vistas of the valley floor dotted with lakes and escarpments. You’ll also pass through Narok town, a vibrant Masai settlement where you can stretch your legs and observe local culture.

Upon arrival in the Masai Mara, check in at your camp and enjoy lunch. Later in the afternoon, set out on your first thrilling game drive, where you may spot elephants, prides of lions, leaping gazelles, and giraffes silhouetted against the savannah horizon. As dusk falls, return to camp, enjoy dinner, and fall asleep to the distant calls of hyenas and lions.

Accommodation: Miti Mingi Eco Camp

Wake up early to the melodic calls of African birds and the golden sunrise casting warm hues across the plains. After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive, venturing deeper into the Masai Mara. The reserve is home to the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—as well as cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and over 450 bird species.

Your guide will navigate to the Mara Triangle Viewpoint, where you’ll stop for a picnic lunch with views stretching to the Serengeti in Tanzania. The open plains provide one of the best opportunities for spotting cheetahs sprinting after prey or witnessing lions resting beneath acacia trees.

Between July and October, the Masai Mara transforms into a theater for the Great Migration, where nearly two million wildebeest and zebra cross from the Serengeti in search of greener pastures. The dramatic river crossings, where crocodiles lie in wait, are among the most iconic wildlife experiences on Earth.

In the evening, return to camp for a warm dinner and storytelling by the campfire.

Accommodation: Miti Mingi Eco Camp

After breakfast, depart the Mara and travel toward Lake Nakuru National Park. En route, stop again at the Rift Valley viewpoint for photo opportunities. By midday, you’ll arrive in Nakuru town for lunch and check-in at your hotel.

In the afternoon, set out on a game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park, often referred to as the “birdwatcher’s paradise.” Although flamingo numbers fluctuate due to water levels, the lake still attracts hundreds of bird species, making it a haven for ornithologists.

Nakuru is also home to both black and white rhinos, which graze peacefully in the acacia woodlands, as well as tree-climbing lions, giraffes, hippos, and zebras. As the sun sets, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Accommodation: Legacy Hotel

After breakfast, journey south toward Amboseli National Park, with a stop at Lake Naivasha for optional activities. Here you may choose a boat ride on the lake, gliding past hippos, pelicans, and cormorants, or visit Crescent Island Sanctuary for a guided walking safari among giraffes and antelope.

After lunch, continue the drive to Amboseli, arriving at your tented camp in the late afternoon. As you settle in, enjoy your first views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, which towers over the park and provides one of the most spectacular backdrops in Africa.

Accommodation: Nyati Safari Camp

Spend today exploring Amboseli in depth. Famous for its elephant herds, the park offers incredible opportunities to observe these gentle giants up close. The park’s swamp areas provide lush grazing grounds, while predators like lions and cheetahs roam the drier plains.

Your day includes visits to observation points like Normatior Hill, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of Amboseli’s wetlands and plains, with Mount Kilimanjaro dominating the background. A picnic lunch will be served within the park before continuing your game drive.

The evening offers time to relax, enjoy dinner, and soak in the atmosphere of Africa’s wilderness.

Accommodation: Nyati Safari Camp

After breakfast, enjoy a final short game drive in Amboseli. You’ll then transfer to the Namanga border post, where you’ll cross into Tanzania. A shuttle bus will transport you to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.

Upon arrival, you’ll be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the Tanzanian leg of your safari adventure.

Accommodation: Charity Hotel

Leave Arusha after breakfast for Tarangire National Park, an underrated gem that surprises many visitors. Known for its iconic baobab trees and the Tarangire River, this park supports an incredible diversity of wildlife. During the dry season, it becomes a magnet for thousands of animals, including elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and predators that follow closely behind.

Birdwatchers will enjoy spotting species such as the yellow-collared lovebird, lilac-breasted roller, and hornbills. After a full day of game viewing, head to your campsite near the park for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Budget Camping outside Tarangire

After breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending into the endless plains of the Serengeti.

Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive, where you’ll likely encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, and large herds of wildebeest. The Serengeti’s name means “endless plains” in the Masai language, and it lives up to its reputation as one of the greatest wildlife reserves on Earth.

As night falls, retire to your camp under a sky illuminated by countless stars.

Accommodation: Budget Camping inside Serengeti

Start the day with a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, when predators are most active and the golden light creates magical photo opportunities. After breakfast, bid farewell to the Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Along the way, you’ll pass by villages and dramatic highland scenery before arriving at your lodge or campsite near the crater rim. The views from here are unforgettable, offering a preview of tomorrow’s adventure.

Accommodation: Budget Camping near Ngorongoro

Today you’ll descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The crater floor is a natural sanctuary that shelters over 25,000 animals, including lions, elephants, flamingos, hippos, and hyenas.

It is one of the few places in Tanzania where you may spot the endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, continue your game drive before ascending the crater walls and returning to Arusha for overnight.

Accommodation: Charity Hotel

After breakfast, you’ll check out and board a shuttle bus back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, our team will meet you and transfer you to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your 11-Day Africa Safari Package.
