The 3-Day Amboseli, Tsavo East & Mombasa Mid-Range Safari is a compact Kenya safari designed for travelers who want to experience some of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations before continuing to the coast. Starting in Nairobi, the journey takes you to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, before continuing to the expansive wilderness of Tsavo East National Park. The safari ends with a convenient transfer to Mombasa or Diani Beach, making it an ideal option for combining a wildlife adventure with a relaxing coastal holiday.

During the first day, you travel from Nairobi to Amboseli and enjoy an afternoon game drive after lunch. The park’s open plains and wetlands provide opportunities to see elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and wildebeest, while clear weather may reveal Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. You spend the night at Nyati Safari Camp.

On Day 2, the safari continues from Amboseli toward Tsavo East with wildlife viewing along the way. After lunch and check-in at Red Elephant Safari Lodge, an afternoon game drive takes you deeper into Tsavo’s distinctive wilderness, where elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos and, with luck, lions may be encountered.

The final day begins with breakfast before you leave Tsavo East and enjoy a final en-route game drive. You then continue toward Kenya’s coast, arriving in Mombasa or Diani Beach around midday, depending on road and park conditions.
