Your Safari in Kenya begins with an early morning pickup from your Mombasa hotel at around 6:30 AM. Meet your professional safari driver-guide and depart for Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and most famous wildlife destinations.
Arrive in time for your first morning game drive, when wildlife is generally more active. Keep your eyes open for the park’s famous red elephants, as well as lions, buffaloes, hippos, giraffes, gazelles, waterbucks, leopards, zebras, and a wide variety of bird species.
After the morning game drive, proceed to your lodge for check-in and lunch. Enjoy some time to relax at the lodge, perhaps taking a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, before heading out again for an afternoon game drive.
Tsavo East offers spectacular scenery in addition to its wildlife. Explore areas around the Yatta Plateau, one of the world’s longest lava flows, and the Athi River, where Doum palms line the riverbanks. You may also explore the area around Lugard Falls, a series of striking white-water rapids where crocodiles can sometimes be spotted.

Start your second day with an early morning game drive in Tsavo East National Park. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee before setting out to explore the park as the sun rises. The early hours offer excellent opportunities to search for predators and other wildlife.
Return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out for one final game drive in Tsavo East. Continue your journey towards Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, covering approximately 80 km.
Arrive in time for lunch before proceeding to Salt Lick Safari Lodge, famous for its distinctive architecture and waterhole where wildlife can often be observed from the lodge. After settling in, head out for an afternoon game drive through the sanctuary.
Taita Hills features a mixture of acacia woodland, thorny bushland, savannah, wetlands, and drier landscapes. These diverse habitats support elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and many bird species, including ostriches, guinea fowl, and weaver birds.

Wake up early for your final morning game drive in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. The morning is an excellent time to explore the sanctuary before returning to the lodge for breakfast.
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey towards Nairobi. Enjoy the changing scenery as you travel inland, with a lunch stop along the way.
Continue to Nairobi and arrive in the late afternoon or early evening. Depending on your travel arrangements, you will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
This marks the end of your 3-Day Safari in Kenya, featuring the wildlife-rich landscapes of Tsavo East and the scenic Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.
