Day 1
Nairobi to Lake Naivasha
Your Short Stay Kenya Safari begins with an early morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or airport. Depart the city and travel northwest toward Lake Naivasha, enjoying a scenic drive through the beautiful landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, make a stop at a panoramic viewpoint where you can admire the dramatic escarpment, surrounding valleys, and distant countryside before continuing downhill toward Naivasha.
Upon arrival in Naivasha, proceed to your lakeside lodge for lunch and some time to relax. Day 2
Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and continue your Short Stay Kenya Safari toward the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes you through the scenic Kenyan countryside, passing through the town of Narok and gradually transitioning from cultivated highlands to the expansive savannah landscapes associated with the Mara ecosystem.
As you approach the reserve, you will see open grasslands, acacia trees, traditional Maasai homesteads, and livestock grazing across the countryside. Arrive at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch and check-in, followed by a short opportunity to relax before your afternoon adventure.
Later, head into the reserve for your first afternoon game drive. With the help of your experienced driver-guide, explore the Mara’s rich wildlife habitats in search of lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and other animals. The late afternoon provides beautiful lighting for photography as wildlife becomes increasingly active across the plains. You may also encounter predators resting beneath acacia trees or watching over the open grasslands.

Day 3
Full-Day Masai Mara National Reserve
Today is the highlight of your Short Stay Kenya Safari, with a full day dedicated to exploring the spectacular Masai Mara National Reserve. After an early breakfast, depart with a packed picnic lunch for an extended game drive across the reserve’s diverse landscapes.
Your experienced safari guide will take you through open savannah plains, acacia woodlands, and areas along the Mara River while searching for some of Africa’s most famous wildlife. Keep watch for the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino – as well as cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, topis, elands, antelopes, and numerous bird species.
Continue toward the Mara River, an important wildlife area and one of the most spectacular locations during the annual wildebeest migration. Between approximately July and October, large herds of wildebeest and zebras move through the Mara ecosystem, creating opportunities to witness dramatic wildlife encounters when conditions are right.
