Day 1

Drive Nairobi to Amboseli

At 07:00 hrs, you will meet our hospitality representative and professional driver-guide at your Nairobi hotel or airport. After introductions and a short safari briefing, you will depart Nairobi and travel south toward Amboseli National Park. The journey takes you through scenic countryside and local communities before arriving at the park in the early afternoon. After check-in at Kibo Safari Camp, you will enjoy lunch and have some time to relax. You can unwind on your private veranda or in the lounge while taking in the beautiful surroundings, or enjoy the camp’s swimming pool before your afternoon adventure. Later, embark on your first game drive through Amboseli. The park is famous for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, especially when the skies are clear. Amboseli is also renowned for its large elephant herds, including impressive older tuskers that can often be seen moving across the open plains. During the drive, you may also encounter lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and numerous bird species. Day 2

Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Amboseli, when wildlife is often active and Mount Kilimanjaro may be visible in the morning light. After the game drive, return to the camp for breakfast, check out, and continue your Kenya Safari Tour toward Tsavo West National Park. Upon entering Tsavo West, you will enjoy a game-viewing drive en route to your lodge, providing an opportunity to begin exploring this remarkable wilderness before arriving for check-in and lunch. After lunch, you will have some free time to relax and enjoy the lodge surroundings. In the afternoon, head out for another exciting game drive through Tsavo West. The park is known for its scenic volcanic landscapes, rocky hills, open plains, springs, and diverse wildlife. You may encounter large herds of elephants, hippos, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and, with luck, black rhinos. Tsavo West also offers excellent bird watching, with hundreds of recorded species. As the afternoon progresses, your guide will search for wildlife in areas where recent sightings have been reported. After the game drive, return to Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Tsavo West to Tsavo East National Park

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and begin your journey to Tsavo East National Park, continuing your Kenya Safari Tour through one of Kenya’s great wildlife regions. Tsavo East is one of the country’s oldest and largest national parks and is located southeast of Kenya near the town of Voi. The journey provides beautiful views of the changing landscape as you move from Tsavo West toward the eastern side of the greater Tsavo ecosystem. On arrival, proceed to Voi Wildlife Lodge for check-in and lunch. You will have some free time to relax after the journey and enjoy the lodge facilities, including the swimming pool. Later, head out for an afternoon game drive in Tsavo East. The park is famous for its dramatic red-earth landscapes and large herds of elephants that often become covered in the distinctive red soil. You may also encounter lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, lesser kudus, gerenuks, and many bird species. Depending on wildlife sightings, your guide may explore areas around the Galana River and other productive wildlife habitats. Tsavo East offers a true wilderness atmosphere and excellent opportunities for photography before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Full-Day Tsavo East National Park

Enjoy a full day exploring Tsavo East National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. This is one of the highlights of your Kenya Safari Tour, giving you plenty of time to discover the park’s diverse landscapes and search for wildlife. After breakfast, set out for your morning game drive when temperatures are cooler and many animals are active. Tsavo East is famous for its vast open plains, dramatic red soil, rugged scenery, and enormous herds of elephants. You may explore areas around the Galana River, where wildlife often gathers around water, and visit scenic locations such as Lugard Falls, Mudanda Rock, or viewpoints overlooking the surrounding wilderness, depending on park conditions and the planned route. Throughout the day, keep watch for elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and numerous bird species. After returning to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation, continue with an afternoon game drive. The changing afternoon light can create excellent conditions for wildlife photography. Your experienced guide will help identify animals and explain their behavior and habitat. After the afternoon drive, return to Voi Wildlife Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Tsavo East National Park to Nairobi or Mombasa

Your final day begins with an early morning game drive in Tsavo East, giving you one last opportunity to enjoy the park before departure. Morning game drives can provide rewarding wildlife sightings as animals are active in the cooler hours of the day. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out. Your driver-guide will then transfer you to the Voi Train Terminus in time for your scheduled train journey to Nairobi, departing at approximately 12:00 hrs and arriving in Nairobi at around 14:30 hrs. On arrival, our hospitality team will be available to meet you and transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey home. This marks the end of your Kenya Safari Tour through Amboseli, Tsavo West, and Tsavo East. If you would prefer to continue your holiday along the Kenyan coast, the safari can instead terminate in Mombasa, where you can extend your stay with a beach holiday in Mombasa or Diani. A day room can also be arranged on request at an additional cost, allowing you to relax and refresh before your airport transfer or onward travel.
