The Masai Mara is one of Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife destinations and forms part of the larger Serengeti ecosystem.

The reserve is famous for its open grasslands, abundant wildlife, and excellent opportunities for year-round game viewing. Between July and October, the Mara can also host large herds of wildebeest and zebras during the Great Migration, accompanied by predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

You will arrive in time for lunch and check in at your accommodation. After some time to relax, you will head out for your first afternoon game drive. Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will spend the entire day exploring the Masai Mara National Reserve on an extended game drive. A packed lunch will be provided so that you can spend more time in the reserve without returning to the camp during the middle of the day.

The Masai Mara is known for its high concentration of wildlife and is one of the best places in Kenya to search for the Big Five. During your game drive, you may encounter lions resting on the open plains, elephants moving through the grasslands, buffaloes grazing in large herds, and cheetahs searching for prey. Leopards may also be spotted in areas with thicker vegetation, although they are naturally more difficult to find.

The Mara is also an excellent destination for bird enthusiasts, with hundreds of recorded bird species. Depending on the season, you may see eagles, vultures, storks, bustards, ostriches, and colorful smaller birds.

Your guide will choose the best areas based on recent wildlife movements and the season. You will return to camp later in the afternoon for relaxation, dinner, and overnight accommodation.

The journey offers scenic views of rolling hills, open farmland, and the dramatic landscapes of the Rift Valley. On arrival at Lake Naivasha, you will check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch before relaxing and preparing for the afternoon activities.

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake located at an elevation of about 1,890 metres above sea level. It is surrounded by acacia trees, papyrus wetlands, and green landscapes that provide an ideal habitat for many bird species. The lake is also famous for its resident hippos, which can often be seen resting in the shallow waters.

During your stay, you can enjoy an optional boat ride on the lake, offering a closer look at hippos, African fish eagles, kingfishers, herons, and other water birds. The peaceful boat experience provides excellent opportunities for photography and wildlife observation. You may also enjoy a nature walk around the lakeshore, depending on your schedule.

The drive takes you through changing landscapes as you travel from the Great Rift Valley towards southern Kenya. On arrival in Amboseli, you will check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive.

Amboseli National Park is famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. The park features open plains, seasonal wetlands, acacia woodland, and areas of dry terrain, creating habitats for a wide variety of wildlife.

During your afternoon game drive, you may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, hippos, and many different bird species. Lions, cheetahs, and other predators can also be encountered in suitable areas of the park.

The wetlands are particularly important for wildlife because they provide water and green vegetation even when other parts of the park are dry. Your professional guide will help you identify animals and explain their behavior and the different habitats found within Amboseli.

The morning game drive will take you through different habitats in search of elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and other wildlife. Amboseli is particularly famous for its elephants, which are often seen moving between the grasslands and wetlands.

After breakfast, you can choose to enjoy more time exploring the park or take an optional visit to a local Maasai village. A cultural visit can provide an opportunity to learn about traditional Maasai homes, clothing, music, dancing, livestock keeping, and community life.

Later, you will continue with wildlife viewing and photography before returning to your lodge. The combination of elephants, open landscapes, wetlands, and Mount Kilimanjaro creates excellent opportunities for memorable safari photographs.
