Day 1
Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Your Kenya Safari Package begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or preferred location in Nairobi. After breakfast, you will depart for the spectacular Masai Mara National Reserve, traveling through the beautiful landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. A short stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint allows you to enjoy panoramic views and take photographs before continuing toward the Mara. As you approach the reserve, the scenery changes from cultivated farmland to open grasslands dotted with acacia trees.
You will arrive at your lodge or camp around lunchtime, check in, and enjoy your meal before taking some time to relax. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive across the Mara’s famous savannah plains. Keep your eyes open for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, lions, and cheetahs. Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

After the game drive, return to camp for breakfast before checking out and beginning your journey toward Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival in the Lake Nakuru area, you will have lunch and some time to settle in before heading into the national park for an afternoon game drive. One of the popular optional activities is a boat ride across the lake, where you can observe hippos in the water and numerous bird species along the shoreline. You may also choose to visit Crescent Island for a guided walking experience among wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Walking among these animals offers a unique perspective compared with viewing wildlife from a safari vehicle. This final wildlife outing gives you one last opportunity to explore the park while temperatures are cool and animals are active. You may encounter elephants crossing the plains, zebras and wildebeest grazing, or giraffes moving through the open landscape. If weather conditions are favorable, you can also enjoy one final view of Mount Kilimanjaro.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out. You will then begin your drive back to Nairobi, passing through the Kenyan countryside and enjoying the changing landscapes along the way. Depending on your onward travel arrangements and traffic conditions, you will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon. Your driver-guide will drop you at your hotel, residence, or the airport as arranged.
