Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Lion King Safaris. Your driver will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to Arusha Planet Lodge, where you will check in and settle into your comfortable room.
Arusha is a beautiful and lively town surrounded by green landscapes and views of Mount Meru. It is an important starting point for many northern Tanzania safaris. Depending on your arrival time, you will have an opportunity to relax at the lodge, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and prepare for the exciting journey ahead.

Day 2
Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu
After breakfast, your professional safari guide will pick you up from Arusha Planet Lodge and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. The drive takes approximately two and a half hours along good tarmac roads, passing through beautiful countryside and local villages.
Upon arrival, you will enter Tarangire National Park and begin an exciting game drive in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof. The park is famous for its ancient baobab trees, open grasslands, and the Tarangire River, which plays an important role in the park’s natural environment. You will explore different sections of the park while enjoying the scenery and taking photographs.
Around lunchtime, you will stop at a designated picnic site inside the park to enjoy your packed lunch while surrounded by nature. After lunch, you will continue with your afternoon game drive before leaving Tarangire and driving towards Karatu.
Upon arrival, you will check in at Eileen’s Trees Inn, enjoy dinner, and relax after a wonderful day of safari activities.

Day 3
Karatu – Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will depart Karatu and travel through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Serengeti National Park. Your journey will take you through the cooler highlands, where you will enjoy amazing views of green hills, traditional villages, and beautiful landscapes.
Along the way, you will have an opportunity to stop at a viewpoint overlooking the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery and take memorable photographs before continuing your journey.
You will then proceed through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the southern entrance of Serengeti National Park. As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast grasslands and beautiful natural plains. Your guide will introduce you to the park and explain its unique environment and the famous Great Wildebeest Migration.
Depending on the season and wildlife movements, your guide may adjust the route to give you a better safari experience. You will enjoy a game drive as you make your way towards your accommodation.

You will travel through the wide open plains, rocky kopjes, river areas, and natural grasslands. These different habitats make the Serengeti one of the most interesting safari destinations in Tanzania.
