This 7-day Kenya Safari Trip takes you through some of Kenya’s most exciting wildlife destinations, from the northern wilderness of Samburu to the famous Masai Mara. Your journey begins in Nairobi with a scenic drive to Samburu National Reserve, where you can enjoy beautiful landscapes, wildlife, and the unique wildlife of northern Kenya. The next day gives you a full day to explore Samburu before continuing south to Lake Nakuru National Park. Here, you can enjoy game viewing and the chance to see rhinos, giraffes, and other wildlife. Your safari then moves to Lake Naivasha, where you can relax beside the lake and enjoy its peaceful surroundings. The final highlight is the Masai Mara National Reserve, home to large wildlife populations and spectacular open plains. Two full days in the Mara allow you to enjoy game drives and search for lions, elephants, zebras, and other animals. After your safari, you return to Nairobi with wonderful memories of Kenya’s wildlife, scenery, and unforgettable safari experiences.

Day 1
Nairobi – Samburu | Into Northern Kenya
Depart Nairobi in the morning and begin your Kenya Safari Trip with a scenic journey north toward the dramatic landscapes of Samburu National Reserve. Enjoy views of changing countryside, local communities and the rugged scenery of northern Kenya along the way. Arrive at Samburu Sopa Lodge in time for lunch and settle into your comfortable accommodation. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive through Samburu National Reserve. Explore the dry savannah and riverine areas while searching for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras and Samburu’s unique northern wildlife. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 2
Samburu | Full-Day Wildlife Adventure
Spend a full day exploring Samburu National Reserve on an exciting wildlife adventure. After breakfast, set out with your professional safari guide to explore different sections of the reserve and follow areas with active wildlife. Samburu is particularly famous for species rarely seen in other parts of Kenya, including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and Somali ostrich. You will also have opportunities to see elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes and other wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve or return to the lodge for lunch before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Return to Samburu Sopa Lodge in the evening.

Day 3
Samburu – Lake Nakuru | Into the Great Rift Valley
After breakfast, leave Samburu and travel south toward Lake Nakuru National Park, enjoying changing scenery as you enter the spectacular Great Rift Valley. Continue through scenic countryside before arriving at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge for lunch and some relaxation. Later in the afternoon, embark on a game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park. Search for white and black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, lions and hippos. The lake, forests, grasslands and surrounding escarpments create excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. Return to the lodge after your afternoon safari and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 4
Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha | Boat Ride & Crescent Island
After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and enjoy the short scenic journey to Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival, check in at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort and enjoy lunch before your afternoon activities. Take a scenic boat ride across the freshwater lake, keeping watch for hippos, African fish eagles and a variety of waterbirds. Continue to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes and other peaceful wildlife. This unique experience allows you to enjoy nature away from the safari vehicle. Return to the resort in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara | Into the Mara
After breakfast, leave Lake Naivasha and continue your Kenya Safari Trip toward the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy the changing scenery as you travel from the Great Rift Valley toward the wide-open savannah landscapes of the Mara. Arrive at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge for lunch and time to relax. In the afternoon, begin your first game drive in the reserve, exploring the plains in search of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and the Mara’s famous big cats. Your guide will help identify wildlife and select areas offering good viewing opportunities. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner.

Masai Mara National Reserve | Full-Day Safari
Today is dedicated to exploring the spectacular Masai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive with your professional safari guide. Explore different areas of the reserve while following current wildlife movements and searching for the best possible sightings. Keep your eyes open for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and large herds of wildebeest. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve, surrounded by the beautiful African wilderness, before continuing with your afternoon safari. Return to Masai Mara Sopa Lodge in the evening for your final night in the Mara.

Day 7
Masai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Nairobi, bringing your Kenya Safari Trip to a memorable conclusion. Upon arrival in Nairobi, visit the Giraffe Centre, where you can learn about giraffe conservation and enjoy a close-up experience with these gentle animals. Continue to Carnivore Restaurant for a memorable farewell lunch and a taste of Nairobi’s famous dining experience. After lunch, you will be transferred to your hotel, airport or preferred drop-off point. This marks the end of your 7-Day Premium Kenya Sopa Lodges Safari.
