Your adventure begins at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Africa’s leading wildlife conservation areas. Here, you will enjoy thrilling game drives, visit the famous Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, and come face-to-face with the world’s last two northern white rhinos.

The journey continues to the scenic Great Rift Valley, where breathtaking views create the perfect setting to slow down and unwind. Here you will enjoy a relaxing boat safari alongside hippos and colorful birdlife on Lake Naivasha. You will take a guided walking safari on Crescent Island among free-roaming giraffes and zebras or simply spend quality time together at the lodge while soaking in the spectacular surroundings.

Your final destination is the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the world’s most celebrated safari destinations, where you will enjoy expertly guided game drives in search of the Big Five, witness incredible predator action, and if you travel between July and October, you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration. Also, you can enrich your journey with an optional visit to a traditional Maasai village where you will gain insight into one of Kenya’s most vibrant cultures.

Day 1

Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Your family adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.

After meeting your professional safari guide, you will head north through Kenya’s scenic central highlands, passing coffee farms, tea plantations, and charming rural towns with Mount Kenya providing a stunning backdrop on clear days.

On arrival at the River Camp Ol Pejeta, in time for lunch, you will check in to your comfortable tent overlooking the river. You will take time to relax, stretch, and soak in the peaceful surroundings before your first safari experience.

Later in the afternoon, you will head into Ol Pejeta Conservancy for an exciting game drive. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions, and endangered rhinos.

You will also visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary and have the rare opportunity to see the world’s last two northern white rhinos and chimpanzees.

As the sun begins to set, you will return to the camp for a delicious dinner and unwind around the camp before settling in for your first night in the African wilderness.

Day 2

Ol Pejeta Conservancy to Lake Naivasha

In the morning after your breakfast at the camp, you will head out for an early morning game drive when most animals are at their most active, offering excellent opportunities for wildlife photography.

After checking out, begin your scenic journey toward Lake Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you will enjoy breathtaking views of rolling hills, farmland, and dramatic escarpments with stops at scenic viewpoints where you can capture memorable family photos.

You will arrive at the beautiful Great Rift Valley Lodge in the afternoon and check into your rooms overlooking Lake Naivasha. You will spend the rest of the day at your own pace. Relax by the swimming pool, take a walk through the beautiful landscaped gardens, enjoy the fresh highland air, or simply admire the panoramic views from the lodge verandas while the children play in the open spaces.

As evening falls, you and your family will enjoy a freshly prepared dinner before retiring for a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 3

Lake Naivasha

After your breakfast at the Great Rift Valley Lodge, you will make your way to Lake Naivasha for a relaxing boat safari and cruise across the calm waters as your guide points out pods of hippos resting in the lake and a variety of birdlife, including African fish eagles, pelicans, kingfishers, and herons.

For those looking for a little more adventure, a walking safari on Crescent Island offers the chance to walk among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a predator-free environment.

Later, you will return to Great Rift Valley Lodge for lunch before spending the afternoon at the lodge. Whether you choose to swim, enjoy a family game on the expansive lawns, or simply enjoy the breathtaking Rift Valley views.

Day 4

Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will proceed with your journey to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, passing through the scenic landscapes of Narok County. Along the way, you will witness changing scenery from lush highlands to the vast golden savannah that makes the Mara so iconic.

You will arrive at Saruni Base Camp in time for lunch and settle into your comfortable family safari tent. After a short break, you will head out for your first afternoon game drive in the reserve.

Later, you will return to the camp as the sun sets for dinner and stories around the campfire.

Day 5

Full-Day Masai Mara Safari

After an early breakfast at the camp, you and the children will set off with a packed picnic lunch for a full-day game drive through different parts of the reserve.

During the game drive, you will visit the famous Mara River, home to hippos and Nile crocodiles, and if you are traveling between July and October, you may witness the dramatic Great Wildebeest Migration.

Throughout the day, your guide will help you track the Big Five while sharing fascinating facts about the wild animals, birds, and ecosystems of the Masai Mara.

Also, you will visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about their customs, traditions, and way of life.

Later in the evening, you will return to Saruni Camp for dinner and your final night

Day 6

Maasai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

After your breakfast, you will check out and then begin the journey back to Nairobi, making a few comfort stops along the way as you reflect on the incredible wildlife encounters, beautiful landscapes, and special family moments you have shared over the past six days.

You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable 6-day Kenya family safari experience.
